  • Kinich (5* Dendro/Claymore)
  • Kujou Sara (4* Electro/Bow)
  • Thoma (4* Pyro/Polearm
  • Lynette (4* Anemo/Sword)

Kinich is a 5-star Dendro Claymore character, and I think he’s one of the most creative and mobile DPS units we’ve seen in Genshin Impact so far. In my opinion, his unique movement-based Elemental Skill and strong front-loaded damage make him incredibly fun and powerful to use.

  • Unique Movement-Based Skill: I love how his Elemental Skill lets him grapple onto enemies and swing around them while firing shots. It gives him amazing mobility and makes combat feel dynamic.
  • Front-Loaded Burst Damage: His Scalespiker Cannon, which fires during his skill, deals a huge chunk of ATK-based damage. I think this makes Kinich an ideal pick for quick-swap or high-impact rotations.
  • Off-Field Dendro Application: His Elemental Burst doesn’t just deal AoE Dendro damage, it also extends his skill duration. In my opinion, this makes him viable in Dendro reaction teams like Bloom or Quicken.
  • Evasive Combat Style: What stands out to me is that his skill grants brief invulnerability, letting him dodge attacks while staying aggressive. It’s such a smooth blend of offense and defense.
  • Auto-Targeting Makes Life Easy: His skill auto-locks onto enemies, which I think is a huge bonus when fighting ranged mobs or flying enemies; you don’t have to worry about aiming mid-battle.

  • Raiden Shogun (5* Electro/Polearm)
  • Kujou Sara (4* Electro/Bow)
  • Thoma (4* Pyro/Polearm
  • Lynette (4* Anemo/Sword)

Raiden Shogun is a 5-star Electro Polearm character, and I think she’s one of the most reliable archon picks to this day. She excels as both a battery and on-field burst DPS, especially in teams that rely heavily on Elemental Bursts. In my opinion, she’s a perfect example of utility and power in one kit.

  • Massive Energy Support: I personally find Raiden to be unmatched as a battery. She provides a ton of Energy Recharge and helps cycle other characters’ bursts smoothly.
  • Burst Damage Queen: Her Elemental Burst is still wild even years later, scaling well with Energy Recharge and nuking enemies with every slash.
  • Versatile Team Role: From National Team to Hyperbloom, she fits into so many comps. I think this makes her future-proof.
  • Weapon-Scaling Synergy: Her BiS weapon, Engulfing Lightning, boosts her performance a lot, but I’ve also had success with 4-star ER polearms like “The Catch.

Why You Should Go for Kinich or Raiden Shogun in Genshin Impact Version 5.6

In my opinion, both Kinich and Raiden Shogun are really strong picks in Version 5.6, but it all depends on what kind of playstyle you enjoy and what your account needs right now. I think Raiden Shogun is one of the most reliable and versatile characters in the game.

She works in so many teams, whether it’s National or Hyperbloom. Her energy support is unmatched. If you like consistent burst damage and smooth rotations, I’d say Raiden is 100% worth pulling. On the other hand, I think Kinich brings something completely new to the table.

His movement-based skill makes combat feel super fun and fast-paced, and I like how he can dodge attacks while still dealing big damage. In my experience, he fits well in Dendro reaction teams like Bloom or Quicken, and his off-field utility gives him a bit of flexibility, too. If you’re looking for a Dendro DPS with a fresh, mobile playstyle, I honestly think Kinich is a great option.

At the end of the day, I think you can’t go wrong with either. Raiden offers a timeless, meta-friendly toolkit, while Kinich is more about fun, creative gameplay. Whether you’re building for strength, utility, or just want to try something different, this patch gives you two amazing choices.
